I have a similar issue - I would like to generate a click on the select button that will be fired on the window upload - how can that be done? I would like to generate a click on the select button to open a window from which the file will be selected on document lod.

Kendo UI Upload Control With Existing Files

This behavior is not supported due to browser security restrictions. The selection of the file has to be triggered by user interaction, not via JavaScript.

Posted 23 Mar Link to this post. This should show upload dialog ui-modal where the kendo-upload control is located and start the actual upload. I'm at a point where I have the event object containing the uploaded files, but I don't know how to pass it onto the kendo-upload to trigger the upload process.

Manually passing the files for uploading is not supported by the widget. The file selection should be initiated by the user in order to start the upload process. This happens when I use a form submit for the non-async file upload on a page that has other ajax handled controls. I want to stay on the same page after the file upload - I show and hide the file upload control via a button click. I do this so I can stay on the same page and get a json result from the server after the file is uploaded.

I submit the form using javascript. If you upload a file, then another and so on, you'll get multiple files uploading to the server. There's no page refresh to reset the control, and it is leaving the generated hidden input in the dom after the file upload.

So for the next upload, it generates another hidden input and sends two files. The fix is to remove the hidden input as part of the 'reset' code before doing the next upload:. The actual input elements containing the files are still present in the form. They are inside the k-upload-button div element.
